LESSON IN LIFE

A lesson that my coaches and teachers always tried to teach me is

"Your competitors/colleagues, etc. are never the ones
who hold the world record,"

Thus, no one will ever be SO much better than you that you
don't have a chance.

They also told me "Your competitors/colleagues, etc. all tie their
shoes one shoe at a time,"

Meaning that they have the same skills as you and have no
HUGE advantage over you.

Through all this Mumbo Jumbo of life advice, they failed to tell
me one VERY important thing,

"Inevitably, some people tie their shoes faster than others!"
